http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=77689Finally decided to give this combination a go. I think the move to Outlook give me a single place to look at everything.
Up until know I have been using Chrome with the Remember the Milk plugin. Things do work, but the calendar window on the google mail interface is just a tiny thing on the left bottom corner… Also maybe getting used to Outlook isn’t a bad thing. Many large institutions have standard exchange services with calendar and everything…… Yeah no I really just wanted to try it.
Anyway, these steps are necessary to setup Outlook 2007 to a usable state:
Basic IMAP

IMAP Delete Support
IMAP delete action is mapped to archive in Google App Mail. To get around this, follow (credit to http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/gmail/thread?tid=12dc1387758dce91&hl=en):
- Activate LAB in Menage Doamin -> Domain Settings->New Service and Pre Release feature->Enable Pre Release Feature
- Go to LAB (green icon on top left) choose Advanced IMAP control end activate it
- Go to your email Settings and under “Formwarding POP/IMAP” set IMAP preferences to “Do not automatically expunge messages” and “Move the message to the Bin”
- Settings -> Labels -> System Labels UNCHECK “All Mail Show in IMAP”
- In you Outlook 2007 under “Account configuration” go to “More settings” -> General -> Purge options and check Purge Items when switching folders
Now this is not enough if you have multiple labels to a email. To make things simple, goto Labels, and untick every custom label.
**Remember to reload hierarchy on outlook, not just remove the folders**

Ran into problems trying to get the Android USB driver to install on the Archos 32 Internet Tablet. Windows 7 64bit keeps on saying there is no driver.
After fumbling around (and upgrading the tablet to Android 2.2 in the process), I came across: http://forum.archosfans.com/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=37386
(Reproduced here for archive, The post is about a A70, but it works the same for A32)
Dont know if you got it to work? But now when i got my A70 i wanted to try to install my own apps from Eclipse development environment and it worked like a charm without using any other drivers than the one supplied in the Android sdk.
What i did is firstly i followed Hairfainx tip of enabling the drivers in thread http://forum.archosfans.com/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=41755&p=284338

To get the drivers working with Win7 (both 32 and 64-bit) simply navigate to your adb folder.
Go to usb_driver folder
Open android_winusb.inf in notepad.
Just ABOVE the line that says [Google.NTamd64], add these lines:
Then just ABOVE the line that says [USB_Install], add these lines:
Then plug your 70 with ADB debugging enabled into your USB port. When it asks for drivers, point it in the direction of that file.
Enjoy your newly ADB enabled A70!

Then i modified the “.android/adb_usb.ini” file as nz wrote above to be able to use the A70 with adb/Eclipse.
Then i used “adb devices” in the console and my A70 was listed
So i tried the connection by running a simple Hello World example in Eclipse and it was installed and run on my A70 without any changes in Eclipse.

Just tried to add apps through my iTunes on the new computer, and realized that it didnt have the apps already on the iphone, so if I did a sync the old apps would be gone.
The solution is to authorize my new machine, and transfer the apps down first, and then do a sync.

Had a trip to Seattle, maybe its the christmas season, but the city felt great. It’s a very good place to live IMO.
Also visited alot of the nearby big names, namely Boeing and Microsoft. New photos are at http://gallery.jamesyxu.com

On the one hand, lots of spam means my blog is being read by a lot of people and is probably ranked somewhere, attracting spammers..
On the other hand, lots of spam is really annoying.

So my browsers here in linux have been getting stuck on Resolving host, and takes ages to load any website. Turns out when I setup the AirPort Extreme for printer sharing I had wins added to /etc/nsswitch.conf, on the hosts: line, before dns
This means that whenever a host name needs resolving, wins gets queried first, and then dns when wins times out or returns nothing.
Stupid mistake, just going to document this here in case someone else runs into the same problem and is wondering what is going on
